Ring Theory is a fledgling startup that is making 3D-printed wearable rings with embedded RFID technology. The rings have been approved for use on the MBTA for ‘Charlie Card’ smart cards. During their Kickstarter funding campaign, Ring Theory offered backers a chance to design their own custom face for the rings, which would be 3D printed. Diana created a design that was featured (along with one other backer’s design) in Ring Theory’s marketing materials. Diana’s design is an abstraction of the different regions she has lived in and their relative influence on her life.
