Calendar for New Amsterdam Market

New Amsterdam Public is a non-profit organization that originally worked to bring a permanent, year-round indoor market for grocers, fish and cheese mongers, and butchers to the Seaport in Lower Manhattan. This calendar was designed as a fundraising effort in association with New Amsterdam Public’s first Wintermarket. The client provided the beautiful plant illustrations from an old horticulture book, and several photographers donated some of their images. Naiad Design created the layout and format, selecting colors and typeface.

Since then, New Amsterdam Public, now New Amsterdam Market, has achieved great success. According to their website, their mission, then as now, is to support sustainable food systems, regional economies, & fair trade through an emerging small business community.
