Website for Cambridge Design Competition

Connect Kendall Square was a design competition hosted by the City of Cambridge to create a unified approach to diverse existing and planned open spaces in and around Kendall Square / Eastern Cambridge. STASTNY:Architect and the Cecil Group were selected to manage the design competition. To publicize and provide information during the design competition, Diana Marsh created this competition website while at The Cecil Group.

The website, using a customized WordPress.org theme, provided a clear reference point for competitors and the public regarding the design competition, including rules, updates, and submissions. The web site was taken down after the competition ended.

The design brief also included a competition logo and color palette. Diana’s logo design references the goals of increasing connectivity in Kendall Square, creating new open spaces, and drawing people to the Charles River waterfront.

Created while at The Cecil Group (now Harriman).
